BRADLEY GALLO Bradley Gallo is President and CEO of Reel Life Studios. He made his feature film debut as writer, director, and producer of MAGIC ROCK. His first film was accepted in six film festivals including the Stony Brook Film Festival. MAGIC ROCK was picked up for distribution worldwide by Porchlight Entertainment, Inc. and can be seen on television and video. Among his credits are working on numerous sets including the feature film hit, KEEPING THE FAITH. He also worked with post-production for Manhattan Transfer/Edit on such popular television series as Oz and Homicide. Bradley is now writing a comedy feature entitled FAMILY JEWELS, starring The Brothers Gallo. Bradley recently sold a script for a women-driven thriller entitled ATTRACTIVE DANGER commissioned by Regent Entertainment. Pre-production for his newest film ONE STEP CLOSER which he wrote and will be producing and directing has commenced as well. JEFF NEWMAN Jeff Newman is a well-known and highly regarded columnist and screenplay analyst. For two years, he was the "Our Craft" columnist for Creative Screenwriting magazine. Prior to that, he was the primary writer for the craft-oriented screenwriting publication StoryNotes for over three years. He also penned 60 columns for Drama-Logue (a weekly entertainment trade paper in L.A.) on the art and craft of screenwriting. Jeff was one of the professional columnists for screenwriting on the "hollywoodnetwork.com" website for three years. He has also written for ScreenTalk magazine and Scr(i)pt ezine. Jeff has given presentations on screenwriting to numerous groups, and has presented seminars for the past several years at "Screenwriting Expo" in L.A. While doing all of the above, Jeff worked as a freelance script consultant. He was rated as one of the Top 2 screenplay evaluation services by Creative Screenwriting (March/April, 1999). Clients included professional screenwriters (members of the WGAw), UCLA Screenwriting Program students, contest winners, as well as beginning and intermediate-level writers. Jeff has several books on screenwriting in the works, including one that offers an inside look at Hollywood structure. MELISSA ULTO Melissa is an award winning documentary filmmaker and digital video artist, who has shown her work at the MoMA, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and on Broadway. Her documentary work in Hip Hop has ranged from the films "The Art of Love & Struggle", about women in Hip Hop struggling to succeed, to "Death Before Dishonor", a film about the anti-snitching movement in inner cities. Short form and webisode documentary pieces have been Melissa’s unique expertise, with clients including Manic Panic, Club Mom, and The Dollhouse Clothing Line. Her own online journalism site, SheStory.tv, features webisodes on women’s stories. Melissa has been at the bleeding edge of digital video technologies and streaming media for over ten years. She has been a part of many start up and think tank projects, including her work at Columbia University's Center for New Media Teaching and Learning. Melissa's pioneering career, marrying technology with story telling, has culminated in an impressive body of work. MATTHEW MacCARTHY Matt graduated from Dean College in Massachusetts, studying radio and television production, and photography. After becoming interested in cinematography, he attended The New York Film Academy in NYC, where he soon became the DP of choice for dozens of student films. After film school, he began shooting commercials, music videos, and independent feature films. Since serving as DP of MAGIC ROCK for Bradley Gallo's Reel Life Productions in 2001, Matt has continued to lens commercials and indies, and has also shot studio-backed features, including PANDORA'S BOX and GOSPEL. |
